Hi,

I was reading about the sp_monitor 'enable' function with ASE 12.5.2 or
higher. It says you can enable then disable it. How much of an
overhead does this present on a busy system? Should it only be one when
trying to investigate problems?

Very little.. The counters are updated regardless of the sp_monitor
setting. Take a look at the MDA presentations by Rob Verschoor and Peter
Dorfman at http://www.sypon.nl/mda
