Recover Master

I am using 12.5.3 (EBF 12338) on windows 2000.
I just rebuild the master but do not have dumps of the
master.
-The sysserver does not contains entries for the other
servers (backup, XP, .)why? Do I have to enter these
manually?

-The article asked to installed the following scripts after
rebuilding master:
script/installmaster--what does it do?
script/instmsgs.efb
but cannot find any of these scripts.

Yes, you have to manually run sp_addserver procedures to add
the other servers (normally, the definition of these would be in your
dump of master).

The installmaster script installs all the standard sybase-provides
system
stored procedures. Most of these are installed in the sybsystemprocs
database, a few are created in master (a long time ago, all system
procedures
were in the master database).

Look in $SYBASE/ASE-*/scripts for the scripts.
