backup server

failed to bring up the BS server error 1067 process
terminated unexpectedly",for this one,I think the error and
backup log said something abt the network error was
encountered...nl_connect failed....guess it is something to
do with the OS network resources..because BS also use RPC
connection ..supposingly the
REBOOT should free all resources and BS should up as
normal....BUT it didnt!! Why, can anyone help?
We are using ASE12.5.1.

Hi James,

I wonder if your network configuration (e.g : dsedit.exe) is fine, I
mean your sql.ini entry for the BS_XXXX server.
I've solved a backup failure issue by changing the name of the server
by is IP adress.
