Backup became EXTREMELY slow after applying EBF9988

Hi Gurus,
I applied EBF9988 to upgrade to ASE12.5.0.1, The first backup after this
runs for days! (just about 200GB). I had to abort the process, because it
looks it was going to run endlessly. Prior to this, it takes less than a day
(few hours) to backup. Please what could be the problem. I needed the patch
because some devices were more than 4GB which were not supported by
ASE12.5.0

Check any later EBFS to see if this has been fixed.

Could this have been caused by the EBF applied? Is there another way to
speed up the Backup? or what EBF can i apply to rectify this problem?

It may have been. It depends on a few things. What OS are you
on and what else was done to it at the time?

Even the original speed you reported seems rather slow (a few
hours for 200GB). Can you be more specific about the times?
Where they consistent? What hardware o you use for backups?

I'd look at least one of the ASE 12.5.3 ones. Check the cover
letters first to see if this is a bug that's been reported.
