Hi All

I have situation where the dump database is taking longer to complete,
usually it take around 1.5 hours for this particular dump db to
finished but now its taking more than 4 hours. I have checked the logs
and all seems ok, I cant see any probable cause.

My question is, is there i way for me to check why the dump database
is take that long to complete or check the percentage of the dump.
Also would be good if you guys can point me out to where to check to
determine the cause of the problem.

Other info

ASE : 12.5.3
OS : Solaris 10

Thanks
Al

Hi,

You can check in ur backup server logs how much % it has completed the
dump. Also check if any update stats or reord is running in that
database.

you can check backupserver error log for percentage completed. As far
as backup running slow there can be various reasons
Check for blocking in master..sysprocesses when dump is running, check
for cpu usage in sysmon when dump is running,
