Hello,
We are using ASE 12.5.4. I came accross some articles from Robert
Verschoor that sybase started including sybedit tool in ASE 12.0.
However, I have been unable to locate the tool in my sybase directory.
Can someone help?

Regards

Sybedit was removed from te ASE 12.0 distribution a long time ago. It is
also not part of ASE 12.5 anymore.

Will they(sybase) provide the tool, if asked for?

I don't *think* they would -- but nothing stops you from askign TechSupport.
One of the reasons why it was removed was that some of the utilities did not
work reliably in all cases.

The other reason was that it allowed a person to easily "patch" a
database. I believe the only 3rd party tool that allows patching is
ProActive DBA from Whitesands Technology.
