Hello,

while trying to do a dump tran. We get the following error
message.

Mar 11 21:23:54 2006: Backup Server: 4.41.1.1: Creating new
disk file
/sybdump/logdump/it_adminbeta/it_adminbeta.110306_2
1:20:40.
Mar 11 21:23:54 2006: Backup Server: 6.53.1.1: OPERATOR:
Volume on device
/sybdump/logdump/it_adminbeta/it_adminbeta.110
306_21:20:40' cannot be opened for write access. Mount
another volume.
Mar 11 21:23:54 2006: Backup Server: 6.78.1.1: EXECUTE
sp_volchanged
@session_id = 26,
@devname =
'/sybdump/logdump/it_adminbeta/it_adminbeta.110306_21:20:40'
,
@action = { 'PROCEED' | 'RETRY' | 'ABORT' }

My question is now, what possible causes exist (besides
wrong file permissions on the dump device) that would cause
such an error?

Thanks in advance

Regards
Kurt

No it is not, we had about 20G of free space
